Ultimate steak sandwich
Ingredients:
Crispy onion rings:
2 Small onions, thinly sliced
50g flour
1 tsp garlic powder
Sauce:
15 g grated Parmesan cheese
3 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tbsp mustard
2 tbsp natural yoghurt
Sandwich:
400g Steak
60 grams of rocket
Foccacia, cut in half
Oil, salt, pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Divide the onion slices into rings and discard the small round cores. Sprinkle with a little oil and massage gently to coat each ring.
- Mix the flour and garlic powder together and toss the onion rings in the flour so that each is thinly coated.
- Air fry for 20 minutes at 120°C, so that they are light brown and crispy. (They will crisp up further as they cool.)
- In the meantime, mix the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl.
- Rub your steak in oil and season with salt and pepper, then Air Fry for 8 minutes at 205°C (medium rare). Cook your steak longer if you prefer it well done. Once cooked, let it rest for 2 minutes before slicing.
- Assemble your sandwich by spreading the sauce generously, then add your sliced steak, arugula, crispy onions and serve.
